To access the 21 pin plug, the body is removed from the chassis. Turn the model upside down and remove the coupler assemblies and set aside in a safe place.
Splay the body carefully away from the chassis as there are four body retainer lugs on the chassis. A piece of thin card can be useful to keep the body clear of the chassis.
Next, gently lift the body off from the chassis.
Next, remove the speaker enclosure via two small screws securing it to the metal chassis. Use these two screws to mount the DCCSound premium speaker to the chassis.
Once fitted, plug the decoder in, noting its orientation.
Relocate the two small plugs from DC to DCC on the motherboard. This enables the lighting to operate on DCC.
Gently place the body back onto the chassis and refit the prior removed couplers.
