Items used:
ESU 58820 LokSound 5 DCC Micro decoder
DCCSound Premium twin driver sugarcube speaker for Ixion Coffee Pot
The 8 pin plug is accessed by removing the roof section of the passenger compartment, held in by 8 small clips, 4 per side. The 8 pin DC plug is then removed.

The speaker will be located under the floor of the passenger compartment. The two speaker wires from the speaker are fed up through a port in the floor and exit in the roof space where they are connected to the two brown speaker wires from the decoder. The two soldered joints are protected with heatshrink.
The wiring between the two speaker drivers must be carefully positioned so as not to get caught on the chassis or when refitting the large black part over the speaker.
If desired, the speaker can be fixed to the underside of the chassis with thin, double sided tape, though this is optional.

Once the speaker and decoder have been installed, the roof section is refitted.
If the model requires it, an ESU 54671 Power Pack Mini can be hardwired to the decoder and situated in the same space as the decoder.
