VR X class (2nd series) by PSM (SAM)

This model was to be made sound equipped, at the request of the owner. Due to the large motor and drivetrain, there is not acres of room in the model for a decoder and speakers.

The body was removed from the Chassis via four screws on the underside of the chassis. A ESU LokSound V5 Micro decoder was hardwired and the decoder placed low in the cab space.

A custom speaker was designed and produced to fit under the radiator fans, while supporting an LED for the long end headlight. For cable management, another 3D printed part was produced, such that the wires would stay away from rotating parts of the drivetrain.
